KIN restaurant is delighted to announce it has been awarded a Chef's Hat in The Age Good Food Guide 2027, its third hat since opening in January 2023, with a score of 15/20. Described by the guide as a restaurant with "dishes shaped by a restless creativity", the award recognises KIN's commitment to regional produce, quality and exceptional dining.
Set within the heritage listed 19th-century castle at All Saints Estate on the banks of the Murray River, KIN is led by Executive Chef Jack Cassidy. His menus showcase seasonal produce from local growers and the estate's own gardens and vineyards, with an inventive use of native ingredients, matched with wines from All Saints Estate, St Leonards Vineyard and Mount Ophir Estate. The hat reaffirms KIN as one of Australia's destination dining venues.
Its setting within a working winery is what makes KIN unique, with every dish shaped by the vines, gardens and cellar around it. KIN is entirely family owned and run by passionate regional people who care deeply about their environment and the future of the place they call home.

First published in 1979, The Age Good Food Guide remains the benchmark for dining in Victoria.
Since opening, KIN has been known for an evolving menu built around regional ingredients, served in an award-winning dining room designed by Techne Architects. Guests are encouraged to make a weekend of it, with seven company-owned accommodation houses across Rutherglen.
