Five Facts about Rose

1. Rosé is made with Red wine grapes, the colour comes from the pigment in the skins. The shade of pink depends on the variety and time of skin contact with the juice.

2. Rosé should be served chilled, it's even great as a cocktail. Think Frosé or Rosé Spritzer.

3. Antipasto, Salads and Fish dishes all cry out for a glass of chilled Rosé. The tannins help to cut through the fat found in hot or cold meat and grilled dishes far more effectively than white wine can.

4. Rosé is not meant to be aged, it’s best consumed within three years.

5. In France it’s called Rosé, in Italy Rosato, in Spain Rosado and in Rutherglen it’s also called Rosa!
