OUTDOOR events in autumn in Victoria can go one of two ways, weather-wise: attendees either basking in balmy, sun-drenched glory or, as was the case on Saturday, running for cover as the long awaited break decides to rain on your parade.

 

Not that anyone was complaining at All Saints winery at Rutherglen on Saturday where the final match in the Victorian Polo Club calendar was being held.

 

Angela Brown from All Saints said they managed to complete all the matches and associated events in between showers and the rain was most welcome after such a long dry spell.

 

And it didn’t stop the Ladies and Men’s Dash where spectators lined up for a foot race in between chukkas.

 

A few drops of rain weren’t going to deter a chance at scoring a bottle of All Saints wine for the winner, especially when you could use a wine carton as an umbrella.
