Having hosted over 200 weddings, the dedicated team at All Saints Estate and St Leonards Vineyard can offer some sage advice and suggestions around finding your perfect location and planning your dream wedding.

The Castle

Budget. It’s the most important decision that you and your partner need to make when planning your wedding. Be sure to discuss this with potential vendors and ask them about how flexible their packages are so they meet your needs.

 Wedding Budget

Location. Whether it’s somewhere you’ve dreamt of since you were little or a venue that holds a special place in your heart, wherever you choose to get married, you will need to consider the following: suitable accommodation options for you and your guests; be close enough to transport hubs (like airports) if necessary; and be a location where vendors are already established or are willing to travel to.

Vision. Be clear in your own mind what it is that you and your partner want to experience and what you want your guests to experience. For some couples it may be incredible food and wine, for others it could be the excitement and adventure of a being in a totally new destination. Whatever yours is, be clear and communicate this with your potential venues.

Wedding Table set-up

Guests. Depending on just how remote or the possible expense associated with attending your wedding – give your guests at least 10-12 months’ advance notice. A simple save the date card is great for this.

Save the Date

Wedding itineraries. This is very on-trend right now and a way of extending precious time with friends and relatives before or after the big day. Some activities could include – a guided wine tour, a post wedding BBQ or brunch or listening to live music in the open air with food and wine close at hand. Chat with your potential venues and ask them if they have any of these options available.

Post wedding brunch
