"All Saints of Rutherglen has released a very old, rare and expensive Muscat, All Saints Rutherglen Museum Muscat, which has an average blended age of 80 years. Packed in a hand-cut crystal bottle and a presentation case, it retails for about $1000. Just 500 of the 500ml bottles have been released, 100 for Australia and the rest for Asia and the US. It’s a great wine but whether it’s good value depends on how deep your pockets are. It’s dark amber and smells of fruitcake, Christmas pudding, preserved citrus and Muscat fruit, it’s searingly intense and tremendously concentrated.

It was launched in Sydney by the fresh-faced Angela Brown, who is younger than all but the youngest wine in the blend. Her family – including siblings Eliza and Nicholas – are the owners of the 144-year old winery, fourth-generation members of the Brown family and children of the late Peter Brown."
