Trio of Rutherglen Durif

Included in Halliday's review over the weekend of 10-11 September 2016, is the history around it's discovery by Dr Francois Durif in the 1860's. Dr Durif established in the vineyard in Isere in France where he crossed Pelourisn with Syrah.

In 1908, Dr Francois de Castella brought Durif to Rutherglen following the region's need to replant following an outbreak of phylloxera. Rutherglen's unique climate and conditions produces deeply coloured, full bodied dry reds and Durif has since made the region it's home in Australia.
